How should I take Levitra tablets?

Levitra (vardenafil) tablets should be taken as a single oral dose, 25-60 minutes before sex or sexual activity. Levitra (vardenafil) tablets should not be taken more than once in any 24 hour period.

It works best when taken on an empty stomach however it can be taken with or after food.

When taking Levitra (vardenafil) an erection will only be produced during sexual arousal or stimulation.

How do Levitra tablets work?

Levitra (vardenafil) belongs to a class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase (PDE5) inhibitors. PDE5 is an enzyme which helps to regulate blood flow to the penis. Levitra (vardenafil) works by dilating the blood vessels (arteries) within the penis, allowing for greater, more effective blood flow to the penis when aroused. The increased blood flow to the penis allows you to reliably produce and maintain a hard erection when aroused and during sex.

Levitra (vardenafil) provides symptomatic treatment only for ED, and does not directly treat the underlying causes of ED. There are numerous physical and psychological factors which can result in the inability to produce and/or maintain erections. Contributing health factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease can also increase the likelihood of developing ED, alongside lifestyle factors such as alcohol consumption and smoking.
